Getting started

Quick answers.

Tracking food

Add food to the relevant meal and CheeFit keeps your daily calories and macros together.

Goals

Set the calorie and macro targets that suit you, then use the daily view to see how you are progressing.

Your records

Food, water, goals and recipes are stored on your device and may sync privately through your iCloud account. Exercise records, including workouts imported from Apple Health, stay only on your device. You can export a copy or delete tracking records from Settings.

Privacy policy

Your health data stays yours.

About this policy

This policy applies to CheeFit, an iOS food, exercise and wellbeing tracking app from the Chee Suite. CheeFit works without a CheeFit account, advertising or third-party analytics, and does not operate a developer-owned server for your personal tracking data.

Information you add

CheeFit stores the information you choose to enter or import, including food and nutrition entries, exercise and water logs, recipes, notes, macro goals and related dates. App preferences, trial timing and lifetime-access status are also stored on your device. The developer cannot view or recover this information.

Storage and iCloud

Your food records, water records, nutrition goals, recipes and recipe ingredients are stored on your device and may sync privately through Apple CloudKit when iCloud is available and enabled. Manual exercise records and workouts imported from Apple Health remain only on your device and do not sync through iCloud. Private iCloud data is controlled through your Apple account and is not accessible to the developer.

Apple Health

If you choose to connect Apple Health, CheeFit asks for permission to read workout records and their active calories. CheeFit does not write to Apple Health. Imported workouts are used to create exercise entries inside CheeFit and are never sent to the developer, Open Food Facts, advertisers or analytics services.

Camera and barcode scanning

Camera access is optional and used only to recognise a food barcode on your device. CheeFit does not capture, save or upload camera photos or video. The recognised barcode is sent to Open Food Facts only when you use the lookup feature.

Food searches and Open Food Facts

When you search for a food or scan a barcode, CheeFit sends that search term or barcode to Open Food Facts so matching product information can be returned. Standard connection information, such as your IP address, may also be received by that service. CheeFit does not send your diary, recipes, goals, exercise or water history, or Apple Health data with these requests.

Trial and purchase

CheeFit includes a 14-day free trial. Continued access after the trial requires a one-time lifetime purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit. CheeFit receives purchase and entitlement status needed to unlock or restore access, but does not receive or store your full payment-card details. Apple handles App Store purchase information under its own privacy terms.

Exports, retention and deletion

Your records remain until you remove them using CheeFit's data-management controls. Deleting synced food, water, goal or recipe records may also delete those records from your private iCloud data. Removing CheeFit from a device deletes its local exercise records but does not necessarily delete records already held in iCloud, which may reappear if you reinstall the app while signed in to the same Apple ID. You can export selected records as JSON or CSV; after an export is saved or shared, you control that file. Revoking Apple Health access stops future reading but does not automatically delete workouts already imported into CheeFit, and deleting an imported CheeFit exercise entry does not delete the original workout from Apple Health.

Your choices

You can decline or revoke camera and Apple Health permission in Apple's device settings and can use CheeFit without connecting Apple Health or scanning barcodes. You can delete individual entries, categories of tracking data or all CheeFit tracking records from Settings, and may turn off iCloud access through your Apple settings.

Support messages

If you contact support, we receive only the information you choose to include, such as your email address and message. We use it to answer your request, do not add it to your in-app records, and will delete the conversation on request unless it must be retained for a legal reason.

Children and health decisions

CheeFit is a general-purpose tracking tool and is not directed at children. The developer does not knowingly collect children's personal information. CheeFit does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment; speak to a qualified professional before making significant health, diet or exercise decisions.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when CheeFit or its services change. The latest version will remain on this page. Use the contact button below for privacy questions or help exercising your choices.
